Escaping From My Abusive Husband, is about a woman with a young daughter in the 1980s, who manages to escape an abusive husband and marriage by heading out to an old friend she knew in Texas. The only problem is, she finds out when she gets there that the friend had died tragically in a car accident three years previously.
