Garter Stitch Bonnet with Ears

Garter stitch hat with cute floppy ears and icord edging. Knit in superwash sock yarn, the hat is squishy and stretchy, and the bonnet shape makes for fun knitting! If you would like to make the hat in a solid color it takes just one skein of yarn.

Level

Intermediate- knit, purl, increase, decrease, provisional cast on, and I-cord edging.

Size

Baby (child, adult)- 15 (18, 20) in [37.5 (45, 50)cm] around head

Yarn

Spud & Chloe Fine Sock (80% superwash wool, 20% silk, 248yds/227m per 65g skein) 1 skein each of colors 7803 (brown), and 7809 (purple), plus a small amount of 7802 (orange)

Materials

-Size US3 (3.25mm) circular needle or size to get gauge

-Tapestry needle

-4 Stitch Markers

Gauge

6 stitches & 6 rows in garter stitch = 1 inch [2.5cm]
