What if some people really had superpowers? How different would the world be? Not much.

In the world we live in, plenty of people virtually burst with skills, talents or abilities. And they work retail, watch the clock on a government job or run errands for less talented but more ambitious bosses. But in the world of Mighty Mighty, these workaday heroes don't have that luxury. If they don't rise above their lot, it could spell doom for all sentient life on earth.

Be ready for some sharp left turns as you page through Mighty Mighty. It starts as parody, becomes a satire, an adventure, a thriller, a mystery and even a romance. But however the story moves along at any point, you'll find yourself caring about and rooting for Our Heroes.

In Part One, we met the guardians of St. Louis's Chesterfield Mall: Orville Ortley, Mucus-Man, whose snot has the explosive power of a howitzer shell; Kevin Kiley, Count Karma, invincible hero of the ethereal plane who's utterly useless on earth; and Mindy Maguire, a staunch feminist who was blessed by all the goddesses with ultimate beauty and absolutely bristles with the media-bestowed moniker Supermodel. They and their teammates discover that there is a trinket somewhere in the property they protect that is of value to the Washington-based villains of the American Malevolence Institute. They don't know what it is or what it does, but if the Institute got its hands on it, the results would be ruinous.

In Part Two, the team ventures forth as a private enterprise. They're soon hired by a small, Midwestern town beset by a gruesome, radioactive badger-monster who is devouring the citizens off one by one. The creature may be the least of their worries, though, because it has not only attracted the heroes' attention, but the Institute's as well. And the sinister forces of the Institute might serve only as the tinderbox for the conflagration to come.
