This is a story about how I managed to lose weight and maintain that loss, at a time in life when you are told the reverse should happen. After years of 'yo-yo' dieting of losing weight to only put the weight back, I finally found the way to keep the shape I had so desired. This is a story of my journey, from since a child through to my late 40's, and what I learnt along the way. Part of that journey was to 'throw away the scales', and learning to lose weight you have to eat lots of food – no more diets!I am not someone that has been in the Fitness Industry for years, I am someone who late in life has gone from not being able to walk up and down stairs, to being able to run up stairs (two at a time!), from having difficulty in getting out of chairs to being able to moving heavy objects. My achievements of weight loss and maintaining that weight loss was through living a normal life working five days a week, which included travelling and living out of hotels. During that time I learnt that 80% of training is eating correctly and lots of food!
