Throw Away Boy details the journey of the "Chaplain to the Streets". Tortured at home, ran away at age ten and lived on the streets of a large cold northern city. He learned survival first hand: sleeping in boxcars, under porches, vacant homes and backs of empty trucks. He spent time with crime figures, cult leaders, and studied with cults.
