彭公，是我国清代康熙年间的清官之一，本书所辑就是他断案的一些故事，望对读者能有所启发和裨益。《彭公案》以康熙年间彭朋出任三河县令、升绍兴知府、擢河南巡抚、授兵部尚书查办不同事务为线索，叙述李七侯、黄三太、杨香武、欧阳德等一班侠客协助他惩恶诛奸、除盗平叛的故事，结局无非是清官邀得圣宠，侠客受到奖赏。
