The victim of a shooting at a local bar on the night of the big game, Paul Crispin relives his violent death over and over in purgatory. But what exactly is he paying for? Paul is just a regular man—a sports enthusiast who is giving civility a good run. Eventually he finds himself pushed to the edge by the system, when pressures from his office job and dead ends in matters of love, family, and friendships all drive him off an unthinkable cliff. After taking measures to rid the world of those he finds responsible for his misery, Paul now struggles to understand the dreadful mistakes he has made while continuing to pay dearly for them.
