Simon Libbis is the principal of Subdivision Lawyers. Prior to establishing this boutique legal practice he was Executive Director of the National Electronic Conveyancing Office, which was a joint government and industry initiative to establish an electronic conveyancing system across Australia. As well as an extensive career as a specialist property lawyer, Simon also served as the Registrar-General of South Australia for some years.

Simon was among the first legal practitioners accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as property law specialists in 1994. He is the author of a number of publications, including the looseleaf services Subdivisions with the Lot and ConveyanceWorks. In 2003, Simon received the Law Institute President's award for his contribution to the law and the legal profession.

The book starts with a complete explanation of the land title system and restrictions affecting land. The guided tour then takes the reader through the complex area of vendor disclosure and contracts. It winds its way through all facets of the conveyancing process including requisitions, transfer documents, adjustments and settlement. Much the material in this book was previously published in the same author's looseleaf service, ConveyanceWorks.

The 2013 edition includes free online access for all purchasers.
