Someone is killing deer hunters in rural western Minnesota. Tom Cleary, a massage therapist in Maddock Falls, wants to find out who they are and put them away. As a former cop, Cleary has the training and the instincts to follow through. As an ordained Christian minister, he struggles with the human penchant for violence. Pressed into service by the sheriff's office, he gets in the way of a vicious gang of poachers, whose leader is being protected in the federal Witness Protection program. Bullets fly and more bodies fall, and even Tom's massage studio is no longer safe.
