This is the story of Albert Hofmann's life and the parallel story of LSD, highlighting his academic journey, his research at Sandoz and his discovery of LSD, and his open-minded, thoughtful philosophies about the drug, as well as his meetings and interactions with illustrious thinkers and luminaries. Aldous Huxley, Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert among others, established a prolific correspondence with Hofmann. He died at 102, vital, and open until his last breath.
