MEET THE AUTHOR

Born in the Middle East and of Indian origin, Uzma fostered a love of diversity, travel, and culture early on. She moved to the United States at the age of five, and completed her education through university in the States. She later moved to London, England in pursuit of her Masters in International Relations. She completed a study abroad in Shanghai and later moved to Tyre in south Lebanon to complete an internship. She now works as a writer, editor, and publishing assistant in the Bay Area of California.

Anthony David Weiner was born on September 4, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York as the middle child of Mort and Fran Weiner. Mort made his living as a lawyer, and Fran taught mathematics at a local public high school. When describing his upbringing in an interview for Moment Magazine, Weiner noted, "We weren't a very religious household, but we had a very strong sense of our Judaism."
