In a drought filled land, Erik Winters faces the desert aridness of his own existence. Abandoned by his mother, orphaned when his father dies, Erik spends his days on his uncle's farm working a land as dry and unyielding as his life. At night he dreams of a world far away from the endless toil of the fields. He hopes for a family, longs for a future and prays for a miracle. When in a moment of desperation he finds Christ, he's certain that his circumstances will change. At first, it seems as though they might. He finds a girl he can love and works toward a future that will take him from the land of drought to the land of plenty. When compounding tragedies close every door to him, Erik can not but question God's purpose for his life— until he begins to see the Kingdom Land that was before him all along.
