CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom—The aim of Roy Ashworth's SUCCESS: Utter Common Sense is to encourage clear argument and successful communication. This book is for anyone who wishes to marshal his or her thoughts, think logically and communicate clearly and persuasively.
Used properly, the process described in this book is the basis for success in one's personal life or career. It will help consistently develop ideas into watertight plans, reports or presentations to influence bosses, colleagues, friends, and even partners or spouses! It can also be applied in essays, appeals for help, to defend rights, win arguments or present legal disputes.
The concepts can be used to persuade bosses and clients to make decisions or simply to sell products or services. Managers will be more effective and achieve promotion. Bosses will be able to deconstruct, review or critique plans or reports with greater insight. It may even help those who run countries!
SUCCESS: Utter Common Sense will change how facts and information are viewed. A reader will learn how to ask penetrating, forensic questions, and it may change forever the way the reader thinks.
'All intelligent thoughts have already been thought; what is necessary is only to try to think them again,' says Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whom the author quotes.
