Sohila was born into a prosperous and celebrated merchant family, yet her life has been marked by tragedy; her uncle is now her sole surviving relative, despite the good fortunes of her birth. It is in his care that Sohila attends a lavish royal gala, attended by the members of the aristocracy, as well as the pious Rugal Kings. Wandering through the event unattended, Sohila bears witness to something she should never have been allowed to see; the Empires' rulers performing a secret pagan ritual. Sohila is discovered and, fearing that she will tell others what she has seen, the kings place a bounty on her head leaving her no choice but to flee the walled city, along with her uncle and their guards. The group soon find their vulnerable caravan pursued by a gang of henchmen, led by the wicked General Rittick, who are keen to collect the generous reward for Sohila's capture. A fatal attack will leave everyone dead but the young girl. Now alone and on the run with nowhere safe to go, Sohila ventures deep into the jungles of the Savage World, a realm in stark contrast to the affluent Rugal cities, in search of the fabled Pyramid of Souls which is said to hold the power of resurrection. Sohila hopes that by harnessing its supernatural forces she will be able to bring her uncle and beloved parents back from the dead. Her journey will be treacherous but she will not be entirely alone, teaming up with new friends along the way, including the brave but untrustworthy Argon, the genius giant Faith, and the woefully forgetful Rambus. Can Sohila survive the dangerous creatures and murderous cannibals that live within the jungle? Or will her search for the Pyramid be cut short by General Rittick and his blood-thirsty mercenaries?
