This qualitative research study is supported by Action Research (AR) to validate the importance of safety training initiatives to improve occupational-related injuries in high-risk industries.
The action research, like all good qualitative research, has a natural tendency to spill over into areas the researcher had not expected to study. By using a collaborative structure through participatory action research within the client system as the vehicle to arrive at the root cause of the problem, the researcher employs themes through a series of pilot studies from previous accomplishments. The data gathered by the researcher will be analyzed for emerging themes, which will derive from rich and descriptive data provided directly from the study's participants through interview dialogue. The themes will be presented, interpreted, and the data analyzed.
