The final book of the Va'Shan Trilogy finds the last survivors of Caelus on completely different paths that will, in the end, bring them all together for an ending none of them could have ever foreseen. Lorelei is in complete control of Kral and thus the empire. Jo'tal is now the pirate king and along with Tegid Voel, is amassing more credits then they know what to do with. Lo'thar and Maegil have finally consummated their love for each other and now must decided whether to rescue a Lorelei who doesn't need rescuing or find a planet and settle down to raise their younglings. The rebellion is gaining traction and soon all four of them will be caught up in its momentum and find themselves thrown together for good or bad and the end will rock their world more than the destruction of Caelus did.
