"The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" is a Sherlock Holmes short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, first published in The Strand Magazine in June 1892 and the final story in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes collection. The narrative follows Violet Hunter, who seeks Holmes's advice about accepting a peculiar governess position that comes with unusual conditions, including cutting her hair short. As she takes up the post at a remote country estate, Holmes remains on alert, ready to assist her as strange events begin to unfold.
