When a Vermont-based LARP (live action role-play) group comes to the White Valley Lodge, Fee's visit with Daisy is interrupted by murder! Drawn into the mess when their friend and coworker, Kit Somersby, finds herself in the middle of a homicide investigation, the dynamic besties are on the case.

But fantasy and reality are hard to separate when all of the suspects are literally not who they say they are. Nor will any of them break character, not even when threatened with legal action. Only the monarchs of their realm can order them to speak, and they're just as deluded as the rest.
