This book offers an introduction to the history and course of the Russian war against Ukraine. Through this book, readers will:  

- gain data, facts, and a general understanding of Russia’s current war against Ukraine;
- understand the connections between history, culture, and politics on the one hand, and Russia's aggression toward its neighbors on the other; 
- learn about the legal, economic, and humanitarian dimensions of the war;
- be able to correctly interpret new developments related to the war; 
- expand their knowledge of international relations, international law, and the positions of individual states and organizations beyond the current war.

The book has a modular structure. Each chapter examines a different aspect of the war.
