Set in the early 1600s off the northeastern coast of Scotland and inspired by an old Orkney folktale, Storms Over Westray follows two young lovers, Janet and Benjamin, who long to learn more about the world beyond their small island.

The couple's wishes are realized-at much peril to themselves-when storms, war, and superstition drive them apart. Janet finds herself warding off the advances of a wealthy laird and the nasty gossip of neighbors while Benjamin is far afield in battle with the Duke of Buckingham in La Rochelle, France.

Will their love survive?

Will they find each other again?
