Buckle in for a return to Capsburg!
Charlotte Peters is having a bad year. After extensive marriage counseling, including an intimacy coach, her husband unceremoniously dumps her with their teenage daughter, a cattle farm, and an old house on its last legs. As if that isn't enough to drive her to the brink, her father is back in town to negotiate the family farm in Charlotte's divorce, and things between Charlotte and her father are less than stellar. Memories of her troubled childhood hit her hard as pressure mounts from all directions to make amends and leave her own farm to her ex-husband, whose only credential for running the farm is that he's a man.
Just when things can't get any worse, a new face arrives in Capsburg right when Charlotte needs a new cow vet...and a fresh start. But is Cooper Messnick, the new owner of the town animal clinic, too fresh of a face for the forty-year-old Charlotte? And should she care when Cooper may be the answer to all her problems?
Too bad she's starting to like him more than any woman should like her fake-boyfriend slash cattle vet.
