When journalist Claire Harper gets assigned to Capsburg, Mississippi for two months before the presidential election to "feel the pulse" of a rural area, she drags her feet. She's used to her life in Boston, and schlepping around a small town without a bagel shop or even suitable coffee isn't her idea of fun. But when Blake Cadwell, the town councilman who's too sexy for his own good, meets Claire, the two butt heads.
