Centuries ago, in a small, secluded town buried deep in the Appalachian backwoods, the ancestors of Hollow's End made a desperate pact. A famine had swept through, disease followed, and death claimed nearly everyone. Those who survived cried out—not to God—but to something older, darker. The entity heard them. It agreed to spare them, but with one condition: They would not live on borrowed time forever.

Every soul in Hollow's End was marked, their lives extended unnaturally long. Generations passed, yet families noticed they aged slower, lived decades longer than outsiders. The townsfolk convinced themselves they had simply been blessed. But blessings rot into curses.

Now, the debt is due.
