This anthology of poetry, Diving for the Cold Current, was ten years in the writing. The poet lived during these years in a northern Wisconsin forest on the shores of a deep glacial lake, surrounded by the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation. The quiet and solitude were perfect for immersing himself in the awesome beauty of nature and her ever-lurking potential for cruelty, and for pondering the endless light and dark twists, turns and surprises in the cold currents of the human heart.
