Two broken hearts, one fixer-upper—can love be rebuilt from the ground up?
In Rebuilding Hearts, fifty-year-old divorcee Carrie Harper is eager for a fresh start. Recently retired, she is ready to leave Toronto for a small town in Eastern Ontario. On the impulse, she buys a rundown house in need of repair. She hires Mark, a contractor also healing from a painful divorce. As they work side by side on the house, their attraction grows, but the emotional scars from their past marriages leave both wary of trusting again.
Carrie's divorce was very public, and the past comes back to haunt her. What is she running from? Can Carrie and Mark mend their broken hearts, or will the weight of their past keep them from finding happiness? Rebuilding the house becomes a metaphor for the journey to rebuild their lives—and their hearts. The book contains four floor plans to follow along with the restoration.
