Synopsis

Piko is a tiny, curious puppy with ears too big for his head and a heart full of adventure. One day, his nose leads him too far from home, and suddenly, he finds himself lost in the vast, mysterious forest.

Scared and alone, Piko soon stumbles upon four unexpected friends—the gentle giants of the forest: Charlie, Fern, Willow, and Brook, a family of wise and kind capybaras. With their calm strength and patient guidance, Piko learns how to listen to the whispers of the forest, face his fears, and find courage he never knew he had.

Together, they splash through rivers, brave wild storms, play silly games, and even outwit a sly fox. Along the way, Piko discovers the true meaning of bravery, friendship, and light in the darkest moments.

When the path home finally appears, Piko must make a choice—cling to the friends who taught him so much, or return to the family who loves him. With a heart full of laughter, wisdom, and glowing fireflies, Piko learns that no matter where life takes him, true friends never really leave.

Piko's ears perked. His tail shot up like a flag.
"You think you can get away from me?" he barked. "Not today!"

He sprang into action. His little legs pumped furiously as he bounded after the leaf. He zigzagged, leapt, and skidded on fallen pine needles. Each time he thought he had it—whoosh!—the leaf darted higher, taunting him.

Piko chased harder, his tongue lolling out in pure joy. His ears flopped wildly, and his paws drummed the ground like tiny thunderclaps.

"Almost... got you!" he yipped, snapping at thin air.

Deeper and deeper, he ran into the forest. The trees thickened. Shadows stretched long and cool, swallowing patches of sunlight. But Piko didn't notice. All that mattered was the chase.

Finally—crunch! His paw pinned the leaf to the forest floor.

"Ha!" he barked, bouncing in triumph. "I am the Leaf Champion!"

But when he looked up, the grin slipped from his face.

The trees here were different. Taller. Darker. Their branches tangled like arms, shutting out most of the sky. The cheerful chatter of sparrows was gone. The air smelled damp and strange, like mushrooms and secrets.
