Two young children find themselves lost along the banks of a black watercourse while waiting for their mother to arrive and take them home. After seeing horrendous dead things floating in the river, they decide to venture forth into a world that is as frightening as any nightmare they have ever experienced. This story tells of their journey, and hardships, through an unbelievable landscape filled with savage hounds, flaming pillars of fire, and an ugly old woman who continues to pursue them. They have no one to turn to, nowhere to go, and there is no escape.
