In Sardis County, Tennessee, no area of life has been left untouched by the bizarre...not even funerals.

For years, the Spalding family has been known for its internal feuding. When one of the sons passes away in an automobile accident, the local funeral director asks Sheriff Dane Carter to attend the service, hoping that a police presence might deter any potential scenes. Knowing the family's history, Carter agrees.

However, bickering relatives prove to be the least of Carter's worries. There is an intruder at the funeral, one with a plan for revenge unlike anything Carter has ever seen before...
