She's only had her magical abilities a year, and she's already done more than most mages in a lifetime. As a Nature Mage, it is her honour and duty to protect Athia and all the wild places inside it. Her unique gifts give her protections against the Darkness and allow her to cast it out. Having grown into her powers, she is ready to use those gifts.

It's not the first time powerful, world-changing artifacts were stolen. It's not the first time someone from law enforcement was a suspect. It is the first time someone used powers so much like Aili's to commit the crime.

When Ilia lets her know the dragon eggs are in danger, Aili must act fast. The last thing Athia needs is Dark dragons roaming the land. Is something bigger going on she doesn't see? The Scouts are there to help, but they have no defences against the Darkness like she does.
