Korea was never part of Claire's plan, but then again, neither was Minsu.

After getting dumped by her long-time boyfriend, Claire Faze makes a rash decision: she signs a one-year contract to teach English in South Korea. Unfortunately for her, life in the Land of the Morning Calm causes her nothing but stress. Now, instead of being a competent and respected social worker, she's an illiterate foreigner teaching kids who might also be monsters.

Then she meets Minsu, a goofy convenience store worker who bends over backwards to make her feel at home. Sparks fly over bowls of ramen and Korean textbooks, and for the first time since the breakup, Claire stops thinking about her ex.

A powerful cult with links to an old god is stirring up trouble in downtown Gwangju, and it's up to Claire and Minsu to stop them. Good thing Claire's trying to be less of a perfectionist because stopping an old god isn't just hard, it's pretty darn weird.
