MoneyLaw (and Beyond) covers two themes. First, it refers to how the analysis of court decisions may be enriched by applying Big Data technology. The book describes how network analyses can assist legal researchers in identifying groups of decisions that belong together, and in determining which decisions are the important precedents in the respective clusters of decisions. Second, 'MoneyLaw' refers to the dominant position of the monetary perspective in the law, tort law in particular. Empirical and theoretical insights are used to critically discuss the dominance of this perspective. The 'and beyond' refers to how to overcome the limitations of monetary compensation, exploring new avenues to remedy the mismatch between what tort victims seek and what they can obtain in the tort law system. This book will be of interest to legal scholars, practitioners and policy makers involved in tort law, and legal research in general. [Subject: Tort Law]
