The morning sky above Aethermoor blazed with unnatural hues of crimson and violet, as if the very heavens themselves had been wounded. Lyralei Starwhisper stood at the edge of the Crystal Observatory, her azure robes billowing in the ethereal winds that carried whispers of ancient magic. The young sorceress pressed her palm against the cool surface of the Seeing Crystal, feeling the tremors that had been growing stronger each day.
"The Celestial Force is dying," she whispered to herself, watching as another star flickered and vanished from the constellation of Draconus Major. The great dragon constellation had lost three of its brightest stars in the past moon cycle, and with each celestial death, the magical equilibrium of their world grew more unstable.
Behind her, footsteps echoed across the crystalline floor of the observatory. Master Thalorin, her mentor and keeper of the ancient texts, approached with his weathered face etched in deep concern. His silver beard caught the strange light filtering through the translucent dome above them.
"The Council of Mages has reached a decision, young Lyralei," he said, his voice carrying the weight of centuries. "The disturbance in the Celestial Force can no longer be ignored. The very fabric of magic itself unravels before our eyes."
Lyralei turned from the crystal, her emerald eyes reflecting the chaotic colors of the morning sky. "What have the ancient texts revealed? Surely the Arcanum holds some answer to this catastrophe."
