The articles in this ebook describe the thinking, approaches, issues, and challenges of designing e-democracy to improve impact on equity and social justice. To achieve this goal, a grassroots e-democracy learnscape, We Decide, was launched at the IADIS International conference. The articles focus on the work of We Decide and show how practitioners and researchers are responding to the challenge using chat rooms, epetitions, telemedicine, mobile phones and social media.
