A small meteorite lands in Manhattan and begins to grow. Inside are delegates of the planet Uno 1, bringing an astounding and mind shattering message to the people of Earth: The Earth is on the brink of extinction. The Galactic High Council of Intelligences has decided to help humanity by providing the means to transfer all of the Earths inhabitants to an alternate planet in another solar system. There they will stay for thousands of years until the Earth can be rehabilitated and humanity learning its lesson of preservation will be able to return.
