Flirting with danger!
Emigrating to New Zealand, in the late 1880s, was the best decision
Victoria (Vita) Soames had ever made. She leapt at the chance to forge a
new life for herself, her young daughter, and her mother. But surviving
the uncomfortable three month sea journey across the world did not mean
she'd left all of Victorian society's expectations and behaviours behind;
she found to her dismay that she was, in some ways, still trapped in the
conventions and bad habits of the old country, in this new land.
And when a successful businessman clashes with her passionate goals for
social change, she finds her heart conflicted as never before. How long
can they both hide their past, and trust enough, in the power of love, to
reveal their secrets?
