God looks down from the realms of eternity (Psalms 53:2) . He looks all over this world. He looks and seeks a man, a woman who truly seeks Himself. "Is there anyone who seeks God?"
Such a foundational, challenging question from and into eternity. We rarely consider God like this. But He has always sought relationship with mankind. He wants to share deep things, He desires friendship.
So many prayers: ask, cry, try, work, and declare God things; but who seeks? Who truly desires deeply not blessings, answers to prayer, or stuff; but God?
God Himself, intimacy, relationship. "My goal is God Himself".
Almighty God, our Father seeks to share His heart, His thoughts, His desires, His plans. He has shared them in the past with men like Elijah, Daniel, and John. He has spoken of His eternal things to them and was able to trust them with His delights and anointing (knowing they would not use these insights and "specialness" to gain glory and riches). Who today can God share with?
He seeks.
As He looks upon the earth today and sees your heart; does He see a seeker after only Himself? Not more blessings or stuff, not answers to prayer and power, not greatness; but a simple prayer that says, "Father, if you need to share your burden and problems with someone, You can share with me. You can trust I will not use these thoughts to benefit myself, but to simply be your friend this day."
