Courting Trouble offers three novelettes that create a side series to the Into Death series. These stories, set in 1925, feature an Englishwoman who arrives in the southern United States and finds mystery, murder, and romance. The character Nedda Courtland was born in the Sailing with Mystery short story collection.
Multi-published writer M.A. Lee's love of historical mysteries began before her teen-aged years. Regency novels motivated her own twelve-book mystery series Hearts in Hazard. Authors like Mary Stewart inspired her Into Death series.
