"The Haunter of the Dark" is a Cthulhu Mythos story by H. P. Lovecraft, first published in the December 1936 issue of Weird Tales Magazine.
The story follows Robert Blake, a curious writer drawn to the shadowy depths of Providence, Rhode Island, where he becomes obsessed with a ruined church shrouded in superstition.
