Gema is a girl who was handed over one stormy night to the nanny of the Dark Moon pack. Alpha Alan Petrov and Luna Elisa de Petrov accepted her, as the Nanny was very beloved in the pack. They had a son, Alekséi, who was ten years old; he loved his Nanny and got along very well with the little girl until Gema turned twelve and the nanny died in an attack on the pack while protecting Gema.
