After suffering the loss of his wife and child in the mountains of Georgia, Boone Crocker and his dog Snarly have fallen into a vagabond existence. When their wandering ways take them into the Texas Hill Country, Boone and Snarly happen upon a weeping woman. It is a fateful encounter that sets off a chain of bloody events that will pit Boone and Snarly against the power-hungry Locke brothers, a quartet of ruthless, murdering lowlifes. The Locke brothers are used to taking whatever they want, whenever they want, from whoever they want... that was, at least, until they ran crosswise of Boone and Snarly.
