Beneath the city, something waits.

When a routine inspection sends two subway maintenance workers deep into forgotten tunnels, they uncover a world the city was never meant to see. Beyond the last functioning lights, the tunnels twist into ancient stone corridors; places not built for trains, but for something far older. And in the darkness, they are not alone.

Gaunt, skeletal figures stir in the shadows, their hollow eyes watching, their tooth-lined maws opening to screams that echo through the earth. What the workers awaken is not a nest, but a kingdom; a subterranean dominion of creatures that once ruled the depths and are hungry to reclaim what lies above.

Every step forward drags them deeper, where the tunnels themselves seem alive, the walls shifting, the air pulsing with an unseen rhythm. Survival means more than escaping the creatures; it means escaping the city's buried history before it swallows them whole.

For those who descend, there is no guarantee they'll come back the same. Or at all.
