The twin witches, Anja and Zack, are left stunned when they discover that Nexus, the sinister dictator, has escaped death and been reborn as an even more dangerous monster bent on world domination. Together with their allies, the Wellikans, the twins embark on a series of adventures, standing in Nexus's way at every turn. Yet each victory comes at a cost, and it is far from certain that they can restore peace to the world. What sustains both the twins and the Wellikans is a shared hope – the dream of a better world that gives their struggle its meaning.
