Jesus went away to a solitary place; a Quiet place where He could be alone and pray. He departed from the crowds to be alone to hear from the heart of the Father. He went to the quiet place in Gethsemane and to the solitary place on the mountain. Even this One who slept during a storm on the raging sea went away to the quiet places to commune with the Father. In the quiet place the Son communed with the Father. To commune with the Father is to connect with the Father. In this Holy communion, the joining together of our heart with God, answers are found. We hear from God, but most importantly we connect with the source of all life in Whom we have our being and in Whom all things consist, because it is through Him that we have life, the life of the Holy Spirit within us.
