Dorian Lightbringer (self-appointed title) is almost definitely the Chosen One. Probably. The prophecy was vague. The stars were...bright-ish. And he's always felt special.

When he unearths a scroll referencing "The Radiant One," he does what any reasonable hero would: buys armor, assembles a reluctant fellowship, and sets off to save the kingdom from a threat he hasn't actually identified yet.

Unfortunately, the prophecy keeps changing. His companions keep trying to leave. And the only thing truly legendary about Dorian is his commitment to the bit.

But when a real monster appears—one he accidentally summoned—Dorian has to decide whether being chosen matters more than choosing to stand up anyway.
