This is the story of an elderly man being interviewed in his later years by the media, as he has built a legacy of literary and musical achievements that, on the surface, deal with universal themes of love, loss, social injustice, and the human condition. At first, he responds to questions about his past and creative pursuits with openness, curiosity, humility, and a good spirit. However, as the interview progresses, he becomes aware of his shadow self wanting to be heard above the noise of his egocentric answers and the applause from the studio audience. So, his responses become more careful, for being part of the world now is not his true wish. The story is told by someone who, after a lifetime of conflict, has come to terms with his inner self and realises that he no longer seeks worldly desires.
