Mere days ago, Celeste had vowed never to let her body touch the Seelie King Gabriel's again, never to let him kiss her lips, and only to see him as her enemy. But, unfortunately, she wasn't great at keeping her vows these days when every cell of her body betrayed the things she set her mind to accomplish. Staying away from Gabriel was just another one of those things.

Everything he has done was to keep her safe, and all of his efforts now are in vain, only succeeding in driving a wedge deeper between them.
There has to be a way into Celeste's heart, something that will help her forget about the things she doesn't remember, and Gabriel decides to honor her son. Despite the pain of knowing the child should have been his, he is determined to provide Thomas everything he is deserved had he been born the true son of the Seelie King and Queen.
But, like all of Gabriel's intentions, this too backfires and not only pushes Celeste away further but also leaves him fighting for his life while Thomas has gone missing. He knows Celeste will not take caution to save her son.
