A week ago, Celeste was a simple human, a teacher, and a single mom. She was content with the way things were, but a Saturday morning outing to a farmer's market, like she and Thomas did each weekend, turned her world upside down.

With her and her son's safety threatened by Thomas's estranged father, she decided to accept help from a handsome stranger offering her sanctuary and protection for her son. The offer was not without consequences, and quickly everything she believed about herself and the world she lived in changed the second the man took them through a portal.

Learning she was not a boring human was the least of her worries. Discovering that two realms had staked their claims on her and her son because of a prophecy was a reality she struggled to accept. Worse was the fact that the attractive man was the Seelie King of Otherworld, and once upon a time, they had been betrothed. She was supposed to have been Gabriel's queen.

With no memories of her previous life, she was left to her own devices hidden among humans and it was only a matter of time before she was found. Gabriel crafted a reckless plan to protect her. It should have worked; the spell forever marking her as his should have prevented another man from pursuing her. With no memories for the spell to take root in, it failed, and Celeste sought companionship in a lifelong friend and her only confidant after the brutal murder of her mother and her father's death on the same day.

Soiled, and being the mother of another man's child left her unworthy of the crown.

Drawn to Gabriel like a fly to honey, Celeste thinks she might be able to accept her new life. Especially when touching him fills in all of her missing pieces, and for the first time that she can remember, she feels whole.

But can she live sharing him with another woman?

The Seelie Court and council will demand he marry to put a queen on the throne by his side, and Celeste will never be a mistress.
