Candies are manufactured in a factory setting. Industrial robots are capable of manufacturing candies in a factory setting. Candy is often designed to have a sweet taste. Candies are often able to have a sweet taste primarily because sugar is typically a pervasively prevalent ingredient in candy. The most pervasively prevalent type of sugar that is embedded in candy is often in the form of sucrose. "Sucrose is a disaccharide" that is also known as table sugar. The ingredients that are embedded in candies can vary from candy to candy. Some of the additional ingredients that candies can be comprised of encompass "syrups, gelling agents, flavor additives, color additives, acids, stabilizers, and glazing agents". Even though the bevy of ingredients can vary from candy to candy, candy is nonetheless devoid of healthy ingredients. Candies often have a long shelf life as man-made food products as a corollary of candies typically being comprised of ample preservatives. Some of the various preservatives that candies can be comprised of encompass "sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sorbic acid, butylated hydroxyanisole, and tertiary butylhydroquinone". The ingredients that are embedded in candies are not limited to the aforementioned ingredients. Some of the multitude of additional ingredients that candies can be comprised of encompass animal protein, animal fats, and animal carbohydrates.
