Robinson Crusoe (1911) is an adventure novel written by Daniel Defoe. It tells the story of a young Englishman who, driven by a desire to explore the world, disobeys his parents and sets out to sea. After a shipwreck, he finds himself stranded on a deserted island, where he must learn to survive using his wit, courage, and faith. Over the course of 28 years, he faces isolation, fear, harsh nature, and unexpected encounters — including one with a native man he names Friday. Considered one of the first modern novels in English literature, The Life and Adventures of Robinson Crusoe is also a deep reflection on human resilience, self-reliance, and the ability to adapt in the face of adversity.
