Salt in the Wound

We don't always notice the wound right away.

Sometimes, the hurt comes in slow, quiet drips—masked as love,

disguised as care, wrapped in promises. Other times, it comes like

a storm: sudden, loud, and shattering. But whether it arrives subtly

or violently, pain finds its way in. And too often, instead of healing,

we let life—or people—rub salt into that open wound.
